"State government does not happen in a marble building with a golden dome, on a hill in a faraway city. State government happens right here, in our community."

I have made it a central tenet of my tenure as your state representative to be accessible, approachable, and effective. I was very purposeful in locating my district office in downtown Pittsfield, on the ground level right by City Hall, to make it easy for constituents to stop by and to facilitate collaboration with all our local partners. I have a full-time local legislative aide to address constituent services. And whether it is on the sidelines of our kids’ games, in the grocery store, or on social media, I am always available to discuss what’s going on in the legislature or to help to solve problems.

I wake up each day with the needs of the people of Pittsfield on my mind. How do we bring more jobs to our community? How can we best address the opioid epidemic that is tearing apart families and hurting employment? How do we address racial and income disparities that create barriers to advancement?

These are important challenges facing us today. With your help, I look forward to continuing my progressive leadership on these issues, and on other issues facing our city and our Commonwealth.

Thank you for your support,
